Harrow Lodge Parkrun

I fell off the blogs before this one. I am typing this approximately 5 months after having ran it.

Harrow Lodge is a fairly local albeit rare one lapper. It is very much a trail run of sorts.

I can't remember what ailment I suffered leading up to it, but the run gave me very noticeable achilles tendonitis. I ran very slowly and it was a difficult event to complete. This run was also notable for the missed opportunity of gaining a volunteer pacer credit. A very uncommon occurrence as this was the first time I had noticed the opportunity possible. But alas, no times we deemed feasible were left hanging on the blue vests. I did wonder if Arif would catch me as I ambled towards the finish line. I felt extremely dejected as both my time and body led me to believe the triathlon was in jeopardy.

We chatted to some former EERRs and made our way to the cafe which had a 10 quid minimum so I told them thanks but no thanks. After deciding to have a stroll round the park we bumped into Karen of Scotland. That was lovely to catch up with her and she rinsed Arif about banking so that was fun.

Onwards and upwards, sideways, backwards. Who the bloody hell knows.
